Membership of the Club is open to all people interested in playing cricket and enjoying the social aspects of the game. There are three categories of membership:
(a) ordinary members; |
(b) non-playing members; and |
(c) life members. |
Among other things, ordinary members are entitled to participate in the Club's cricket team. The Club welcomes all applications for membership, although for the 2003–04 season, the Club will be entering only one team in the Canberra City and Suburban Cricket Competition. As a result, the executive committee has resolved at this stage to accept a maximum of 15 ordinary (playing) members for this season. There remain only a limited number of vacancies for ordinary membership for this current season.
Applications for non-playing membership are welcome from all interested persons at any time during the season. Non-playing members, whilst not guaranteed selection to play in Club cricket matches, are given preferential and concessional treatment for selection, over other non-members, where there are insufficient ordinary members to play in a Club match.
The Constitution and by-laws detail the the rights and privileges conferred to each category of member. Any person interested in membership of the Club should contact one of the office-bearers.
Applications for membership should be made using the forms found on this website and forwarded to the Secretary by email at Secretary (secretary@brindabellacc.org.au) or by post to the Club mailing address.
